Ahmed holds a Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelors of Surgery Degree (MBChB) from Makerere University. He is currently pursuing a MASTERS OF Medicine In Internal Medicine at Makerere university. Ahmed is currently working on a research project focusing on the Prevalence of chronic pulmonary obstructive disease and associated factors among HIV infected patients attending the Mulago ISS clinic.

Christine Sheema Student Makerere University College of Health Sciences

Christine holds a Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelors of Surgery Degree (MBChB) from Makerere University. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Medicine in Paediatrics and Child Health at Makerere university. Christine is working on a research project to find out the prevalence of pneumonia in HIV exposed uninfected children, in comparison with the HIV unexposed children.

Joanita Nalunjogi Medical Doctor Makerere University College of Health Sciences

Joanitah is medical doctor. She holds a Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelors of Surgery Degree (MBChB) from Makerere University. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Joanitah is currently working on a research project to evaluate the performance characteristics of the combination of chest X-ray and intensified case finding form in tuberculosis screening among HIV positive patients and associated factors.

Irene Najjingo Student Makerere University College of Health Sciences

Irene holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Laboratory Technology (BBLT) form Makerere University. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Irene’s research aims to determine the Correlation of XpertMTB/RIF Cycle Threshold values with smear and culture for mycobacterial burden estimation among new pulmonary tuberculosis individuals in a clinical setting

Olive Kabajaasi Student Makerere University

Olive holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Kyambogo University and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Sociology Degree at Makerere University.

Olive is working on a research project to investigate the quality of Tuberculosis (TB) services. Specifically, I plan to explore the lived experiences and perceptions of health workers, TB patients and their caretakers on the quality of TB care services provided at the district hospitals.

 

Patricia Alupo Medical Doctor Makerere University College of Health Sciences

Patricia is a medical doctor and holds a Masters of Medicine Degree in Internal Medicine from the Makerere University College of Health Sciences. She is currently pursuing a PART pre-PhD research fellowship and conducting research on pulmonary complications and outcomes in HIV-infected inpatients with cryptococcal meningitis.

Patrick is a Lab Technologist and was supported to visit the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) for training in the laboratory of Nobel Laureate Dr. Elizabeth Blackburn on telomere length and telomerase activity assays.

Stellah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Health Services Research at Makerere University School of Public Health.
